Ackee is the national fruit of Jamaica. When prepared with salted codfish, it becomes a delicacy that is truly irresistible. Ackee and saltfish can be found on every Jamaican table for breakfast or during special celebrations. This dish can be easily prepared and is quite delectable.
Easy recipe using Sunrite Ackees
In a saucepan sauté onions, tomato, pepper and scallion in heated oil
Add cooked, deboned, flaked codfish to seasonings
Combine a can of Sunrite Ackees to mixture over low heat
- Serve with fried dumplings, bread, yam, banana or staple of choice
